Cyclekart Club of Australia at the Gnoo Blas Classic Car Show
Orange, NSW – 7 February

The Cyclekart Club of Australia (CCA) was proud to be part of the 2026 Gnoo Blas Classic Car Show in Orange, one of Australia’s most iconic historic motoring events. This year’s show was the largest to date, with more than 800 vehicles taking part across the weekend — a remarkable celebration of motoring heritage.

The CCA display featured three cyclekarts, supported by a series of informative display boards outlining what cyclekarts are, how they are built, and how enthusiasts can get involved through the Club. Throughout the day, the display attracted strong interest from spectators, many of whom had never seen a cyclekart in person before.

One of the highlights of the weekend was meeting Ed, his son Hamish, and their dog Teddy, who made the long drive from Wangaratta, Victoria, purely to see cyclekarts up close — a fantastic reminder of the broad appeal and growing interest in the movement.
The display was staffed by CCA members Pete, Anthony, Paul, and Don, with newest club member Gary and his wife also making the journey from Narrabeen to take part and support the Club.

The CCA also had the pleasure of meeting renowned motoring personality Warren Brown AM — well known as a newspaper cartoonist, journalist, and historian. Warren is widely recognised as a presenter on the original Top Gear Australia, for the Peking to Paris documentary, and most recently for reenacting Francis Birtles’ legendary 1927 London-to-Melbourne journey alongside Matthew Benns, driving a 1925 Bean 14. Warren expressed a strong interest in cyclekarts and is keen to join the CCA at the next NSW event in Goulburn this April.

Despite a setback on Friday afternoon when a freak storm damaged the display, Saturday’s show proved to be a great success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved. The level of enthusiasm and curiosity from visitors was extremely encouraging, with many expressing interest in starting their own cyclekart journey.

The Cyclekart Club of Australia looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to share the unique appeal of cyclekarts with the wider motoring community.
