In one way or another I have been involved in some form of motorsport for much of my 60 years on this planet.
Cyclekarts are a fantastic concept and an awesome challenge to design and build, and although my Cyclekart is not complete (needing paint and trim), It is a fully functioning race kart.

It is not my intension to spook anyone, however during testing at the track in my back yard, I managed to exceed both the limit of the kart and my driving ability and I rolled it.:(

Needless to say, this didn't end well, and involved a trip to the hospital to sort out broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder.
Since then all of the repair work to the kart has been carried out and I'm back in the saddle as keen as ever :).
I guess my message is to please remember to wear a helmet and give these amazing race karts to respect they deserve. VideoCapture_20231226-161234.jpg

Looks great - I was thinking MG looking at the photo. Glad to hear you've mended well.

One thing I've noticed with my build is that the amount of lock I can achieve with the front wheels is not as much as I expected. Has the turning circle of about a 2 lane road, which is probably not a huge issue but something I can improve on later maybe with a bit more clearancing.

Thanks Mick, I'm on the mend.
I've got quite a few build photos that I will continue to add to my Build Page on my MG TA

Ouch. Hope you recovered okay.

I heard a similar story about a UK racer. Broken ribs and dislocated shoulders seem to be the unfortunate result of a roll over at speed.

Love your CK BTW.

Would love to see some build photos. :)
