I was shown a video of the Tilton event and it took my fancy immediately and I'm keen to try and build a cyclekart.
I'd be happy to hear from any other enthusiasts in the area.
I'm not sure what the etiquette is with forums regarding names and contact information so I'll put nothing down at this time.
Looking forward to hearing there are a few more interested members in the Perth area.
I plan to be in Perth in a couple months. Maybe it would be possible to see your cyclecart? If you don't mind of course I have a few questions about assembly, I'd like to look at an already completed cyclekart.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. This page may help with some ideas for a build. It’s from a modellers site

I was in Tasmania recently. I saw a guy have something that looked like a cyclecart. I wouldn't say it was anything special, but I was interested. Shame I didn't take a picture of it. I believe that cyclecart is much more common among the handyman community. It's just that not everyone sits on the forums.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. I checked the link https://www.cyclekarts.com.au/build-pages/1-micks-cyclekart-build - it returns a 404 code...
Ahhh. Thanks for the heads up. I changed the name and forgot to update the link.

Which I can use in Travels when retired. I wish you all the best and I'm sure someone else will be along one day and help out. Jim out in Kalgoorlie WA. All the best.
Why did you stop? Did it get boring or unclaimed? Sorry for the personal question.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -

I've raced at Lake Gairdner here in SA and one day would love to attend the revival, although that's a long road trip.
It's really cool that there is a revival in historic events, otherwise these events and the cars would just fade into obscurity.
When I was a young fella I used to lust after the classic sports cars and ignore the slow boring vintage stuff, but as I've grown older I've developed an appreciation for those early machines. After all they paved the way for everything that came after.
Not sure what's up with that link. Maybe the vendor pulled it?
Indeed, the old early cars are interesting. But nowadays such cars can be found only in collections. Well, I don't see such cars on the roads. I see sporty ones, but I don't see vintage onesPost is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -
