Hi Justin, Great progress, I'm envious! One thing, you might need to plan for a spring loaded chain tensioner on your drive chain. The swingarm looks like it will move the axle forwards under Bump. If so, the chain will loosen because the counter shaft sprocket and the swingarm pivot are off line and far apart. Not a criticism, just an observation from 50 years of Dirt Bike racing. Hey Justin, I like what you have built so far! Do you have more pics to post here? I reakon that the Build pages are a better & more permanent place to record your build than say..Facey! What is your plan for the rear shock(s)? 👍

I can see what you mean now. One can only assume that it's been like that since new or maybe had a prang at some point in its life.
One "fix" (and I use that term very loosely) would be to make an eccentric bush to bring the two into alignment. Easy enough if you have a 4 jaw chuck. Just need to ensure that it does not rotate in the pivot arm when installed.
A better (but no more elegant) solution is to break out the oxy and persuade them back into alignment. Hold the base, maybe even tack it to your welding bench, and heat the left arm below the pivot housing. Then use a long lever bar to realign. Wouldn't take too much. Might even be able to do it cold with enough force.

I agree, a prang might explain it. There was probably a very good reason it was being sold cheap, with none of the parts associated with it?

I remember those. 24" shifter and 2m. length of 2" gav pipe. Wedge the pipe against ground and drive forwards (or back depending on what side). Then drive round and round the block until the spline frees up.😁

Is the swingarm only held on the one side? Is there nothing supporting it on the U/J side?

There is a round mount holding the tapered bearing cup on the uni side. What looks like a housing for a bush on the other side also just held a cup. I have modified this one to have a nylon type bush to pivot on. Pics and the 'alignment problem' in the next post.😱
