The Cyclekart Club of Australia National Gathering was held over the weekend of 30–31 May 2026 as part of Historic Winton at Winton Raceway, Victoria.

The event marked a significant milestone for cyclekarting in Australia, with eight cyclekarts gathering in one location—the largest gathering of cyclekarts ever assembled in Australia.

Members travelled from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia to attend, while several builders currently working on projects also made the trip to meet members, inspect completed karts and become involved in the growing cyclekart community.

A highlight of the weekend was Saturday morning's parade session, where seven cyclekarts took to the Winton circuit alongside a large collection of Mini Mokes. Despite wet and slippery conditions, drivers enjoyed the opportunity to experience one of Australia's most iconic race circuits, with the unique sight of cyclekarts navigating the famous circuit attracting considerable attention from spectators and participants alike.

Throughout the weekend, the cyclekarts proved extremely popular with visitors to Historic Winton. Spectators of all ages stopped by the display area to learn more about the hobby, inspect the vehicles and speak with owners about their builds. Interest was strong throughout the event, with numerous enquiries received from people interested in starting their own cyclekart projects.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to meet several enthusiasts who had already begun building cyclekarts but had not yet attended an event. Bringing together both existing members and prospective participants remains one of the key objectives of the Cyclekart Club of Australia, and Historic Winton provided the perfect environment to strengthen those connections.

Cyclekarts featured prominently in media coverage throughout the weekend, appearing in content produced by Historic Winton, Winton Raceway, Blendline TV and the Association of Motoring Clubs Inc., helping introduce the hobby to an even wider audience.

The success of the National Gathering has also generated strong momentum for future activities in Victoria, with discussions already underway regarding a number of future events and venues.

The event highlights the remarkable growth of the Cyclekart Club of Australia over the past twelve months. At Historic Winton in 2025 there were just four cyclekarts and a small online community. Twelve months later, the CCA has grown into a national organisation with 38 financial members across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, with growing interest emerging in Western Australia.

The CCA would like to thank everyone who attended, displayed a kart, volunteered their time and helped make Australia's largest-ever cyclekart gathering such a memorable and successful occasion.

The club looks forward to building on this momentum and welcoming even more members and karts to future events around Australia.
