General Membership Info
The CCA is a not-for-profit organisation, so all proceeds from membership sales go right back into the club to help pay for insurance and running costs. Anything that is left over, is used by the club for the benefit of its members.
All memberships run annually from December with the exception of temporary / event membership which are valid for the events duration or as otherwise advertised.
Memberships and renewals can be purchased via the club web-store and payment can be made by PayPal or direct bank transfer. Renewal reminders are automatically emailed out before renewals are due.
The CCA is a nationally recognised organisation and is registered to operate in all states. This means that all memberships and associated licenses and insurances are valid Australia-wide. So if you registered with the club in NSW but you want to come and participate in an event in SA, that's absolutely fine. We're all one big happy family.
Basic Membership
Basic (website) Membership is free and available to everyone. There is no need to become a financial CCA member to access the website and use all of the public website features. The clubs core principles are to connect people and promote Cyclekarting, so cyclekarts.org.au community access will always be free.
Full Membership
Full Membership is recommended for all members, especially CycleKart owner / builders participating in CCA events. This is our standard membership level. Full membership includes permanently allocated drivers number and inclusion in the club Cyclekart registration scheme, which includes a free chassis plate for your Cyclekart. It also includes family access to club resources and events, but only allows the registered member themselves to participate in dynamic events.
Family Membership
Family Membership is aimed at families that all use a shared Cyclekart. Family membership allows immediate family member to drive the family cyclekart without needing to pay for additional full memberships. This is great if you've built a cyclekart and want to let the kids and spouse drive it.
Associate Membership
Associate Membership is aimed at those who are involved in events, but might not necessarily own Cyclekarts themselves. For example they are driving someone else's CycleKart or are marshalling. The idea is to provide them with insurance cover whilst keeping costs lower.
Social Membership
Social membership is aimed at those who want to be a member of the club but are not actively participating in events. Social members are not covered by event participant insurances.
Temporary / Event Membership
Temporary / Event membership provides a way that people can participate in a CCA event on a once off basis under the clubs insurance scheme.
